Our guides help you plan a room. They cannot inspect your building, and some of the work they describe can genuinely hurt you.
Last updated August 22, 2026 · GlamResets · Neglected Rooms. Remarkable Resets.
GlamResets guides are planning and educational material. They are written to help you assess a room honestly, measure it accurately, make decisions in a sensible order and budget for them realistically.
They are not professional advice, and they are not a substitute for a qualified person looking at your actual building. No document can tell you whether a specific circuit in a specific house is safe.
This is the single most valuable instruction in anything we publish, and it is repeated throughout our guides. The cost of one hour of a licensed professional's time is always less than the cost of getting electrical, gas, structural or water work wrong.
Nothing published by GlamResets constitutes:
Laundry rooms combine water, electricity, heat and lint in a small space. Several of the most common household fire and flood causes live in that one room. Our guides flag these, and the flags are not decorative.
Where a manufacturer's instruction and anything we have written disagree, the manufacturer's instruction governs. Where local code and a manufacturer's instruction disagree, ask your local building department.
We are unusually careful with numbers, and we want you to know exactly what that care does and does not buy you.
We do not promise any particular outcome — not a cost, not a schedule, not an increase in your property value, not a room that looks like an illustration.
What a project actually costs and how long it takes depends on your building's condition, your local labor market, material availability, your own skill and time, and decisions you make along the way. Two people following the same guide honestly will get different numbers, and that is the guide working correctly.
The photographic room scenes, mood boards and material swatches in our guides and on this website are AI-generated illustrations produced for GlamResets. They are there to show atmosphere, proportion and material relationships.
They are not photographs of real rooms, real products or completed client projects, and no image should be read as documentation of a specific result. We state this inside the guides as well as here, because we think you are entitled to know what you are looking at.
Images that show pages of the guide itself are exactly that: renders of the real, finished pages you receive.
Some links on our companion pages and website are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Three things we want to be direct about:
We do not publish income claims and we do not accept payment in exchange for a recommendation.
We link to manufacturers, retailers, standards bodies and government agencies because naming a source is better than asking you to trust us. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
You are responsible for how you use our material and for the work you carry out or commission. By using a GlamResets guide you accept that you do so at your own risk, and that you will bring in a licensed professional wherever the guide tells you to, wherever your local code requires it, and wherever you are simply not sure.
The limits on our liability are set out in the Terms and Conditions.
If anything in a guide is unclear or looks wrong to you, please tell us through the contact page. Corrections are published, not buried.
